New Laptop/Computer Setup

Set up OUTLOOK app

1. Click on the START               flag

1. Click in the search box on the bottom taskbar and type OUTLOOK

1. Click on                                       in the popup menu

1. Click NEXT on the OUTLOOK screen 

1. Click NEXT on the OUTLOOK screen

1. Click NEXT on the OUTLOOK screen

1. Type your DARIEN PASSWORD and click SIGN IN

1. Click FINISH on the OUTLOOK screen

To set OUTLOOK as default mail app

1. Click on the START               flag 

1. Click on the SETTINGS              gear

1. When the dialog box appears

1. Click APPS on the left side

2. Click DEFAULT APPS 

3. Scroll down to OUTLOOK 2016 and click on it

4. In the upper right corner, click SET DEFAULT

5. Click the X in the upper right corner

To set GOOGLE CHROME as default browser

1. Click on the START              flag

1. Click on the SETTINGS             gear

1. When the dialog box appears

1. Click APPS on the left side

2. Click DEFAULT APPS 

3. Scroll down to GOOGLE CHROME and click on it

4. In the upper right corner, click SET DEFAULT

5. Click the X in the upper right corner

Setup CHROME BROWSER

1. Click on the START               flag

1. Click in the search box on the bottom taskbar and type CHROME

1. Click on                                       in the popup menu

1. When the CHROME BROWSER loads, click on the silhouette                in the upper right hand corner

1. A menu will appear, click on TURN ON SYNC

1. When the page loads, type your Darien email address and click NEXT

1. Type your Darien password and click NEXT

1. On the pop screen, make sure the box is checked and click CONTINUE

1. On the popup screen, click YES, I’m in

Set up GOOGLE DRIVE

1. Click on the START              flag

1. Click in the search box on the bottom taskbar and type DRIVE

1. Click on                                    in the popup menu

1. When the GOOGLE DRIVE opens, click on SIGN IN WITH BROWSER

1. When the page loads, click on your Darien computer account

1. On the next screen, click on SIGN IN
